Over the past 15 years, Kabe has invested in / advised more than 125 advanced technology companies, focusing on cybersecurity, defense, infrastructure, and B2B SaaS.

As Global VP Sales at Proofpoint, he contributed to its growth from $20M to $1.4B ARR, supporting its path to IPO in 2012 and its $12.3 billion acquisition by Thoma Bravo in 2021. Other key roles included leadership positions at Microsoft, ArcSight/HP, DoubleClick/Google, and Accenture.

Shiven Ramji is a seasoned and deeply networked product executive with two decades of leadership experience in the security and developer tools sectors. He currently serves as President of the Customer Identity Cloud at Okta, overseeing product, data, security, and technology strategies.
Prior to Okta, Shiven was Chief Product Officer at Auth0, a leading identity platform acquired by Okta, where he led product innovation and strategy.
 
He also held the role of Senior Vice President of Product at DigitalOcean, directing product development, pricing, and partnerships.
 
Earlier in his career, Shiven held leadership positions at Amazon, NBCUniversal, and The Nielsen Company, focusing on product management and marketing.
 
In addition to his corporate roles, Shiven is an angel and board contributor in over 50 private companies.  He currently serves on the board of directors Aiven.io, a data and AI platform company.
 
Shiven’s extensive leadership experience in driving product teams and vast network within security and developer-focused companies give Inflection Ventures an unfair advantage.

Scott Barnes

Scott Barnes

CFO – Retained Accounting, Operations and Compliance Advisor 

Scott Barnes is the Founder and Managing Member of Leap District Advisors LLC, a boutique outsourced CFO advisory firm serving asset managers across accounting, operations, and compliance. Scott supports Inflection Ventures’ funds and SPVs, ensuring our financial and operational processes meet the highest standards of the industry.

Leap District brings deep expertise across equity/long-short, managed futures, private equity, real estate, and other alternative strategies, with a focus on helping managers institutionalize and align with industry best practices. 

Before starting Leap District, Mr. Barnes was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Washington Harbour Partners, a Washington DC based asset management firm employing a fundamentally driven private and public long/short equity strategy with a focus on the TMT space.  In his role, he put in place all non-investment processes, helping the firm institutionalize and grow AUM from $50 million to over $600 million in under two years.  Prior to that, he was the CFO of FORT, LP a $7 billion hedge fund with a focus on systematic trading strategies in both the futures and equity markets.  From 2013 – 2020 he oversaw the accounting and operations functions during a period of dramatic growth, with assets under management increasing from $700 million to over $6 billion.  During that time, Mr. Barnes sat on the firm’s operating and risk committees and held board seats on its Cayman and UCITS fund vehicles.  From 2012 – 2013 he served as Chief Operating Officer of Monsoon Capital, an alternative asset manager with a focus on various trading strategies in the Asia-Pacific markets.  Prior to Monsoon Capital and from 2003 – 2012, he was Controller of Declaration Management & Research LLC, a registered investment advisor and wholly owned subsidiary of Manulife Financial, with a focus on fixed incomes trading strategies and over $10 billion in assets under management.  Mr. Barnes graduated from the University of Wisconsin’s School of Business with a BBA in Accounting.  He currently resides in the Washington, DC metro area.

Prior to Forge, Karl played pivotal roles at Carta, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). At Carta, he was instrumental in developing the private market ecosystem, including the creation of Carta Liquidity (formerly CartaX), a platform revolutionizing liquidity for private companies and stakeholders.

Ashley Bates

Ashley Bates

Ashley is a Director at Leap District with over 15 years in the industry. She is an experienced certified public accountant who has worked with investment firms, small businesses, and high net worth individuals, specializing in fund administration, tax compliance, and financial reporting. 

She supports Inflection Ventures with fund advisory and oversight services, and plays a key role in managing LP onboarding. Prior to joining Leap District, Ashley worked as a Controller for venture capital and private equity funds, leading a team of fund accountants and global partners overseeing financial statement audits, investor allocations, and tax filings. Ashley holds a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is a licensed CPA in Texas and currently resides in Dallas.

Kevin Arsenault is a distinguished operating partner with over two decades of experience in cybersecurity and sales leadership. He has a proven track record of scaling billion-dollar businesses and leading teams of hundreds, making him an invaluable asset in identifying top cybersecurity investments and advising portfolio companies on sales and go-to-market strategies.
Throughout his career, Kevin has held pivotal roles at leading cybersecurity firms. He was part of the early sales team at CrowdStrike, where he played a key role in driving revenue growth and positioning the company for its successful 2019 initial public offering, ultimately serving as Vice President of Sales for North America.
Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Worldwide Advanced Security and Information Governance Sales at Proofpoint, contributing to the company’s growth leading up to its 2012 IPO.
In November 2024, Kevin joined Push Security as Chief Revenue Officer, bringing his extensive experience in building high-performance teams to the browser-based identity threat detection and response space.
Kevin’s deep expertise in cybersecurity, combined with his strategic acumen in sales and market expansion, equips him to provide exceptional guidance to portfolio companies. She was an Investment Banking Associate at J.P. Morgan, where she gained extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory services. Her tenure at J.P. Morgan equipped her with a deep understanding of financial markets and corporate finance.

Alexandra also served as an Associate at Gulf Capital, one of the largest alternative asset management firms in the Middle East. In this capacity, she was involved in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and managing portfolio companies across various sectors.

Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with honors. John Paul (“JP”) Schnapper-Casteras is the founder and managing partner of Schnapper-Casteras PLLC, a boutique law firm established in 2018 that advises technology companies, non-profits, and individuals on frontier technology issues and appellate litigation.

His practice encompasses areas such as open-source software projects, digital currencies, artificial intelligence, fintech, electric vehicles, and quantum computing.
In addition to his role at the firm, JP serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Collective Global, where he has advised on over $125 million in early-stage financings since 2020.

He is also a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council’s GeoEconomics Center, focusing on financial technology, central bank digital currency, and cryptocurrency.

Previously, JP was Special Counsel for Appellate and Supreme Court Advocacy at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, where he worked on a broad array of constitutional and civil cases.

He also practiced in the appellate group of Sidley Austin LLP, contributing to Supreme Court briefs on various legal matters.
